With large shoes to fill, they have continued Don & Marilyn Chambers’ reputable vacation home business founded 40 years ago on one of the most scenic and peaceful properties on Mount Desert Island. As natives to the Island, they are very proud to continue in Don & Marilyn’s footsteps delivering quality, cleanliness, and hospitality to maintain and provide the highest of standards which guests have enjoyed for many years.

We provide deep water docks & Moorings for your boat, as well as a place to keep your trailer. Just a minute walk down to one of our 3 docks and you can catch fish (mackerel, bass, harbor Pollock, cod etc). Explore the shore line in one of our Portland Pudgy row boats (lifejackets provided), pick up fresh lobsters from our main dock, and listen to the loons at sun-set. Every morning you will see lobster boats circling along the shore hauling their lobster traps. You are close enough to see what they catch! Somes Sound offers the most protected, calm-ocean kayaking around.
